Voilà the most comfortable high heels brand: GIANNI BINI

Ever since I could think... nooo but ever since I started to walk on high heels I have been searching for a shoe brand which makes walking on heels more pleasurable.

I stopped buying high heels which are not comfortable a long time ago... simply because I do not want to invest in shoes which hurt my feet. And I think I speak for many girls that those shoes will just stay in the already overpacked shoe closet and barely touch any streets. And only looking at a gorgeous shoe and getting that feeling of possession is not satisfying myself in the long-run.
So I promised myself to STOP that routine.

From time to time I find a comfortable heel which I immediately buy of course. I look at it, I use it, I am satisfied!

Couple of weeks ago I was on vacation in Florida and passed by the department store Dillards where I came across that shoe brand Gianni Bini.

I am not exaggerating but all their shoes are super super comfy, look beautiful and are relatively inexpensive! I just coudn't resist and had to buy those 4 pairs which will definitely not make me regret filling my luggage.  What makes these shoes so comfortable is that soft cushion which is integrated in the sole, the platform, heel and leather used. Unfortunately you can only purchase that brand via Dillards stores or through the Dillards website.

Here are the ones I bought + one pair (last one with studs) I recommend highly and regret not buying it because I guarantee that you can dance in those shoes ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!

Headband Extravaganza

Boho headbands had its moment a couple of years ago! But for me it never really left! All my headbands I collected during these past years and still collecting these days stayed right in my accessories closet.

Headbands are just such a simple and quick way to look done.

This headband got many critics: Friends and family told me to NOT buy it. But how can you not love this special piece?!

Have a happy weekend!

Chanel - the crème de la crème

"It's more about the mood of the times, not something you have to translate," said the designer after the show. "It's all about the wind, it's in the air," he gestured of the set and referring to the overall ease, breeze and serenity of the collection which, still Chanel through and through, didn't draw on one chain or camelia. "I removed everything," he said - except for the pearls.

While other houses are having a new lease of life breathed into them with new creative directors (Raf at Dior, Hedi at Saint Laurent, Jil back at Sander), Lagerfeld showed that Chanel doesn't need that - Chanel is still the crème de la crème of the brands.

Peace Up II

Finding this top made my day! Bought it at H&M today for 9,95 Euro! Peace cut is on the back. Perfect for the Miami trip in November. Will pair it with some jeans shorts, sandals and lots of jewelry!

Who Am I?

What is my origin?

Grandparents are from China (border to HongKong) and moved to South America, Suriname, which used to be a Dutch colony. There, my parents were born who later moved to Holland and then to Germany. So I was born and raised in Germany but I am from Chinese origin!
So that's the whole story hahahaa

Which fashion item would I spend most money for?

Some girls love shoes, some love clothes, some love handbags,... I just love everything! However, I would spend most money for handbags. They can upgrade any outfit and I believe it is easier to recognize a cheaply produced bag then clothes, accessories or shoes.

Favorite color?

My favorite color is pink. Though I do not have many clothes in that color it simply makes me happy to see pink. In terms of clothes I am very into Bordeaux red right now. All time favorite colors are Creme and Taupe.

Favorite brands?

I love all sorts of brands but if I had to choose two and if money wouldn't be an issue I would go for Chanel and Valentino! They are both very female and elegant and they would make me feel like a billion dollar girl :D

Fashion outfit combos I feel most comfortable in?

- Pair some leggings or tights with a big cashmere sweater and ugg
boots (LOVE Ugg Boots got 5 different colors)

- Love all kinds of dresses

--> I love to wear comfortable clothes which are loose fitted. Not a
    big fan of pants

Top 5 list of fashion items I must possess till the age of 40:

1. Balenciaga City Bag
2. Hermès Belt
3. Burberry Trench
4. Chanel 2.55 Quilted Bag
5. Christian Louboutin

OUTFIT: I was wearing... @ FNO in Amsterdam

13th September 2012. Amsterdam's first Fashion's Night Out.

Since Holland is not very famous for its fashion, neither for fashionable people it was actually the 1st time that I saw so many well-dressed people on one spot in Amsterdam!
Yes, The Netherlands finally got their own VOGUE magazine this year, bringing 'Fashion' into the lives of us Dutch.

Highights:

Estée Lauder counter in de Bijenkorf where you could get your nails polished and accentuated with Vogue

P.C. Hoofdstraat was nicely decorated. All boutiques were open and offered their little interpretation of a fabolous Fashion's Night Out.

What I bought that night? Vogue T-shirt and I went to the Chanel Boutique to buy this year limited edition product 'Twin Set' (nailpolish + matching lipstick), which could only be purchased that night and only in the boutiques.

I decided to get the color Provocation, a deep purple-dark redish color.

Pretty Pretty Ballerinas: Peace Up

This is my 3rd pair of Pretty Ballerinas. I'm a huge fan of that brand not only because of the super girly packaging but also because of their shoe designs!

Do not all girls want to feel like a Pretty Ballerina?

Spotted: Missoni Chucks

Uuh la la. Missoni+Brics, Missoni+Havaianas, Missoni+Pellegrino... and now Missoni+All Stars.

Was checking the webshop of All Stars some days ago and came across these Missoni Chucks. I'm thinking why did I randomly check their site? Now they are stuck in my head will be so hard to remove hahhaa well they would perfectly fit with my Missoni headband!

Chucks are the only sneaker shoes I can't have enough of!
Unfortunately, I am the brokest of the broke right now and cannot afford them :(

Master Thesis: Blogging Is the New Black

I'm Done! I'm Happy!

"This dissertation “Blogging Is The New Black” analyzes why social media in general and fashion bloggers in specific have become so powerful and how companies can benefit from the blogger’s impact. One main reason why blogs are a success is authenticity the writer is giving the reader. Today’s generation tend to trust “real people” more when they promote a product than when brands are doing it themselves. Hence, advertising has increased rapidly in fashion blogs in the form of banners, free merchandise or collaborations."

Louis Vuitton Express

Before i blogged about Garance Doré's journey to Tokyo, who was sent by DIOR and this time it is Louis Vuitton, who chose the blogger and photographer Todd Selby to take him far east! The ultimate LV Express train adventure.

He is taking the train from Paris to Shanghai. However in this the focus is not on the product itself compared to the DIOR campaign but on the journey and the impressions Todd is collecting every day.

I think its a genius campaign introducing a fashion blogger in luxury marketing campaign (which has to be by the way totally different cause they have to stay timeless and the brand should still dominate at all times). The whole travel campaign including the LV Express totally matches with their core value of travelling, travelling in style no matter where you are going and which transportation tool you are taking.

Love at first sight

What more can I say?! Saw this outfit and fell in love :)

This is exactly what is still missing in my wardrobe! Have you also ever experienced this feeling? Most likely, right?! It's Haunting me!

Will definitely try this on during my next Zara visit. Let's hope it suits me too!

SURPRISE OF THE DAY: Maison Martin Margiela collaborate with H&M

This morning I checked my emails and saw this surprising news about the new collaboration partner for H&M. It was last year when I first heart about the brand Maison Martin Margiela.

The designer Martin Margiela (left the company at 2009) had maintained an extremley low and secretive profile. He has never had his picture taken and always remained backstage after his shows. It is said that all media contact is dealt with via fax and the brands ultradiscreet trademark consists of a piece of cloth with the numbers 0-23 on it. Kind of creepy huh?

The collaboration will include womenswear, menswear and accessories and the launching date will be on November 15th 2012!

"The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further," said a statement from Margiela.

OUTFIT: I was wearing...

Ann Taylor Sweater
Missoni Headband
J Crew Cardigan
Ray Ban Glasses
Levis Shorts

These were one of my last shots taken back then when I was still living in Juan les Pins, nearby Cannes. Through the pictures you can assume how magnificent the colors of the ocean are.

I really miss it there!

Now I am back home in Germany writing my Master Thesis... all I can say is that it's keeping me busy...

Create Your Outfit

Even if I'm broke I still go 'shopping'... without (or at least I try not) buying something. But shopping can be still lots of fun when you want to safe money :D
Me and my friends go to stores and choose all the items that catches our attention and try them on.

What's the purpose of that masochistic idea some of you might think?

To practice discipline
To keep up with the latest trends
To improve your sense of random styling

All bullxxx I ended up regretting not buying the dress with the wide sleeve and that sweater with a V-cut in the back and embellishments on the shoulder and the black platform shoes, which were so incredible comfortable! Two weeks after sweater, dress, shoes were sold out! Thank god I bought the shorts before.
However, I found the sweater on zara.com again and going to order it today!

So for the next time I'll remember: Immediately buy the items which really really grab your attention Chantal or simply avoid doing these fake shopping trips!

HAVE A WONDERFUL START TO YOUR WEEKEND <3

ATTENTION to VOGUE Fans: Anna Dello Russo's Accessories Collection for H&M

Anna Dello Russo has become the latest big name to collaborate with H&M. The VOGUE Japan fashion director will design an accesoories collection for the high street chain!!

The Italian style legend and creative consultant at Vogue Japan has joined the designer ranks of Versace, Lanvin and Marni with the collaboration, which will hit shops later this year.
Described as 'unabashedly glamorous, precious and playful', the collection features jewellery, sunglasses, shoes, bags and even a trolley.

Anna Dello Russo said she was 'excited' by the collaboratioin, citing the fact that it's the first time H&M have involved a fashion director in such a project.

Paris Fashion Week: Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2012/2013

LOVE THIS:

With the the autumn / winter 2012/2013 collection Luis Vuitton takes us on a decadent journey. It's in perfect harmony with the brand's brand values, which is all about "travelling in style"!

The longer silhouette of the new collection from Marc Jacobs is determined by linear, reduced cuts. Flared skirts can be combined to narrow 7/8-trousers. Simple cuts which come with ornaments and patterns that stand out. Retro motifs and sparkling gems create the elegant travelling combinations.

Do we not all want to travel like this?

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Fall/Winter 2012/2013

Key looks of Autumn/Winter collection are knee-length dresses and coats in combination with narrow, ankle-length pants. Besides the obligatory tweed velvet, transparent fabrics and metallic effects are strongly represented.

Specials are the feather dresses, shiny rectangular prism structures and a forest leaf outfit.

Beauty inspiration of the show are the glittery eyebrows of the Chanel models.

P.S. here the song of the show "I didnt know- Tristesse Contemporaine":

L'Odyssée de Cartier

The new Cartier spot made by Bruno Aveillan is about the history and the values of the brand, in which the Cartier-panther makes a magical journey.

From June to September 2011, the film was shot. Therefore, the team travelled to the Italian Dolomites, in Spain and of course in Paris, the founding place of Cartier.

The real star of the spot - aside from the wonderfully sparkling jewels - is the model Shalom Harlow, who disappoears at the end together with the panter in the red ecrin, the typical hand-made red leather Cartier case.

My Weekend Review

Here's a Casual Shopping Outfit

H&M Trend - Shorts
Louis Vuitton - Bag
Chanel - Sunglasses
Bypac - Cashmere Scarf
Banana Republic - Sweater
Pretty Ballerinas - Shoes

Spotted this purple carpet. Unfortunately, my camera didn't really catch that bright purple color. I thought it was a fun change to red carpets.

This was in Menton, France at the Citrus Festival. My conclusion of that trip: It was nice to have been there once, seeing some nice sculptures made of oranges and lemons. But an entrance fee of 9Euros for a 15 minutes path was something I do not need to try out again.

MISSONI's Brand Identity Prism

MISSONI inspired nails

I'm a huge fan of Missoni. I love their famous zig-zag pattern, the colorful patterns, brand values, the bohemian flair,... I could go on and on hahhaa

In my next post I will show you a little homework I had to do for school - Brand Identity Prism. It will give you an idea in what Missoni stands for.

When I spotted this nail style on a former collegue I simply must had to try it myself. Not perfect but I will keep practicing. Hope you all like it and get inspired yourself!

OUTFIT: I was wearing...

Cartier Watch
Primark Jumpsuit
Bershka Jeans Jacket
Pretty Ballerinas Shoes

I styled my little dotted jumpsuit from Primark with my dotted tights from H&M. To give it a little edge I combined a jeans jacket and my Assima bag. Perfect outfit to go shopping or meet your friends at a cafe. Don't think I am crazy to wear such an outfit during winter times but the weather in Cannes is great righ now.

Ballerina's from the Pretty Ballerinas is my favorite brand. They have super cute designs and are super super comfortable!

Enjoy your Sunday
